I wasn't really feeling 4. Barksdale was finished and I didn't really like the political angle. With McNulty didn't really go after Marlo's crew like he did Barksdale. Because of the co-op there was no real beef so all you got was snoop and chris killing random people and most of the time you didn't even see them do it. The kids angle was aight but it wasn't enough for me. It's still dope though. Marlo with the crown made for a week season. Avon and the Barksdale crew had more depth. You barely knew shyt about Snoop, Chris, Monk etc. so there were few subplots. Season 1 had more detail into every character including Omar.
Season 4 had the best theme song though

We didnt know shyt about Savino, Stink Um or Bird. Not even Weebay besides the fact that he has pet fish1, 3, 2, 4, 5.

He got depressed when kima gotonce he sister let him in the basement he really wanted to be clean. Kima got shot and he couldn't get the money from her to get his necessities and the urge came back on him. Drugs are a mother...his flesh was weak

Nevermind Avon and Stringer.. Bodie, Wallace, D'Angelo, they all worked for Barksdale. They had their own subplots. They did an ok job with Snoop and Chris but that was only when Michael joined. When Avon got locked up and Stringer got killed it just changed the whole vibe of the show.
That's why I like season 2 better than 4 because they had better character development and better subplots.

I don't understand how nobody went after Marlo except for Omar, it seemed like everyone hated him and he was outnumbered. Yeah he had Chris and Snoop maybe but they're far from invincible, and with them gone who does Marlo really have to protect him?

He obviously had better muscle. they saw he was able to go toe to toe with barksdale, plus the reason why they recruited marlo in the first place was because of his muscle. The co-op was all east side. Marlo was west side so going at him meant nothing to them. You saw chris and snoop mainly because they were the top muscle, but they were deep.

They will go to whoever is paying. Some of Avon's old muscle worked for Marlo when Avon got locked up and Stringer got killed. Slim Charles went to work for Prop Joe. If Marlo got killed then there wasn't nothing for the muscle to protect if there's nobody there running shyt. Muscle is no different from the look outs.
Marlo had a tight crew though.
Marlo forced Andre to snitch on Omar, and had him killed when he failed to do so effectively. That counts as snitching. Also, that makes Chris and Snoop snitches.
I believe the Greek informed an FBI agent about the cocaine shipment from Colombia.
That's what I figured, Marlo's death wouldn't really have any repercussions.
