You know whats frustrating is Hollywood will probably make a movie soon....and it will likely be trash....Ridley Scott is a blunt instrument, 'The Counselor' was dope, but the elements of Mexico were pretty embarrassing not as bad as 'Savages', but close...It will be some kind of hybrid action/thriller, you know who I would trust with it i Cary Fukanaga, of 'Beasts Of No Nation', his eye for landscapes and direction is unmatched right now, and with 'Beasts' and 'True Detective' he's shown he has the ability to show violence and misery, and give it it's full weight, as he did in "Beasts'...with a minimal script and some great acting, that would be a Chapo Guzman movie I would love to see....you need those shots of the Sinaloa mountains and Culiacan at dawn and sunset, it's really beautiful....He could do any Sinaloa/Tijuana movie, there are so many stories, Guzman is just a thread of many....Also, if Soderbergh would return and do a 'Traffic' sequel, call it 'Linea', not a direct sequel of course....I am sure he feels like he has said everything already, and the funny thing is, he kinda has....violence is much more brutal and visible..but the same points he drives through the heart in Traffic are still even truer then they ever were...
