He shouldn't resign. We had a President with credible RAPE allegations levied against him and these same politicians were silent about it. Trump got through a full term without any pressure being applied about allegations numbering almost two dozen. Yet Cuomo is being pushed out for making a few women feel "uncomfortable?" I'm sorry, where was all of this discomfort when he was the COVID hero? Coming forth with allegations when it's politically convenient is always going to make me look at the accuser and their handler(s) sideways. By waiting for a politically expedient moment to come forward just gives this alleged abuser more opportunity to allegedly abuse.
Cuomo fukked up somewhere. The nursing home issue was public knowledge for MONTHS and it just became a major issue for him politically a month ago. Now we're trotting out all of the "brave" white women who had to endure his "creepy" ways until it was no longer politically prudent to do so.
White women are going to do the political bidding of whatever white man has the most sway at that moment. I can't trust these women. Let the "investigation" play out I guess but the writing is on the wall. They want him gone and they'll conjure up whatever scenario will get him out of the paint or at least damage him enough he will slink away in shame once his term is over.
And thing is, I don't even like Cuomo. He's a loud mouth, obnoxious New Yorker just like the Orange Man but with a D next to his name, and that was important.......til now. All that hero worship, circle jerking and backslapping and he's being tossed aside. Trump is gone and he's no further use. If he needs to go it's for all of those nursing home deaths he tried to lie about and cover up, not these weak allegations from "uncomfortable" white women. Anything will make a white woman uncomfortable if she has something to gain from it.
More politicians, particularly Democrats, need to resist these calls to resign based upon unfounded allegations, some years old. Ironically he's a victim of the same behavior he exhibited over the past decade as he has called for the resignations of fellow Democrats for various alleged misdeeds. Dems and their obessession with purity politics is insane. Didn't AOC accuse Ted Cruz of attempted murder yet she didn't call for his resignation (to my knowledge) but she is saying Cuomo needs to step down because of situations she doesn't even know the validity of?
