Scream 6 just had the greatest swerve in franchise history with the killers and MFs talking bout its always been predictable :heh:

thats why it was the best sequel. but even then

we already expected multiple killers. at least i did anyways

we’ve already seen a fake death (roman)

and the family angle been done in every film but the 5th.

so yeah its pretty predictable and if it isnt predictable, then its not very “shocking”. certain aspect are almost expected i guess

but 6 really crazy:wow:

It aint been a good whodunit since the first 1. Cause the red herrings were perfect and things werent as obvious

thats why this next one needs to end on a cliffhanger.
have one of the killers get arrested/killed in the middle of the movie.

and then they need to stop pointing out all the suspects. literally they introduce a small ass friend group of 4/5 people then they have a meeting and say “we’re all suspects”. that ain’t no whodunit. shyt is wack
:yeshrug: Jill was the only Ghostface I didn’t guess. But I agree with you S1 is still the best whodunnit.

Feel like one of the biggest challenges will be having the daughter not come across as a sanitized, HS-aged version of Sidney Prescott. Even Barrera had some spice as the protagonist that made her compelling enough to follow and ultimately root for throughout. Sidney is fearful, yet brave as the final girl and the horror community rally behind her as a result. If there's one thing that's a constant throughout the franchise, it's the Prescott family lineage having a fukked up history and I hope they play into that a little bit here.

I can't recall fully but I think with a slight time jump from 6 to 7. Sid's oldest would be a teenager. I also feel like I read there's supposed to be 3 daughters the oldest is 15-16, the middle is 12 and the youngest would be 9-10.

But I don't know if that was verified script news. This chick definitely fits the trope of casting someone old to play a teen. She's 24 and looks every bit of it.
I hope it's done in a plausible way, but the addition of the daughter comes across as such a cop-out for bridging the franchise to younger audiences after the departures of Barrera and Ortega.

:ehh:Kinda long video but I agree with bro. Especially on the characters as the series goes on, Sidney, the mystery, the killers, and chase scenes.

I agree with alot of his points. but like setting/location don’t matter too much to me. But like pretty much most fans. I do want to see ghostface in a snow/winter setting.

sidney been tired since the 3rd and been wack

the whodunit aspect & killers i pretty much said in previous post

as far as the chase scenes i agree to the max. But tbh we havent had an amazing chase scene since 2 with gale in the soundproof room

also the whole characters being funny/humorous during tense situations is what really bothered me in 6 after rewatches. Its forced and unrealistic.

ofc for these movies you have to just go along and believe that everything is possible. But certain scenes in 6 were just absolutely unreal in terms of the way characters acted/reacted and it kinda took away from the seriousness in the scene

also

ive never paid too much attention to the social commentary aspect of the series:ohhh:

it was eye opening to say the least:obama:
