When you put it like that it makes the Italian court look like something out of the dark ages. Using their logic you could take a mechanic on trial for not predicting the exact moment your brakes failed, or jail a weatherman for not getting the weather right. This judgement is beyond ridiculous

They brainwashed a gullible leader into believing what they were saying was the truth when all they had to do was say *i do not know* They were worried about losing credibility in the eyes of leeadership so they went with a lie not realizing that with that lie they doomed themselves to incarceration. It isnt right that they were jailed but obviously, they convinced the leader wholeheartedly behidn the scenes that what they were saying was the truth. Sadly, they were wrong and it hurt the leaders credibility among his people. THis is why they were jailed. If you make your boss look stupid, friend, typically, there is retaliation.
