I guess what I don't understand is why we assume that Neidelberg people who were tall, strong, smart --- were assumed to not know how to make spears.

Who? :what:

Also, on topic, that rock in the photo could be sharpened by any non-animal. So stupid. And of course other animals have used tools, I hate the talk about how using tools makes someone intelligent, humans use tools and we're stupid as shyt.

So humans know exactly when the first humans lived? And this is a definite fact that cannot ever be refuted?

Or maybe this finding is just evidence that their previous finding could be wrong. Kinda like Pluto.

We've been saying people, in particular, black people go way back but obviously the cac, in his infantile state of mind, still has some catching up to do with scholars he currently calls crackpots. This isnt news.

Still, how the fukk do we know its a stone tipped throwing spear and not just a fukkin sharp ass rock some cac found on the ground.

That's a good point. They dealt with that in the paper itself: http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0078092
I tried to read this, it went over my head in terms of want to get to a quick answer, I don't have the time to go through it in detail so I understand it completely but based on my perfunctory reading of it i'm gonna call BS on their answer being definitive proof. It sounds like they are guessing based on impact fractures from use? :manny:

they are also saying there are some that date 279k years ago?

The dating process still seems shaky guess work to me...

Don't feel bad. It's called using common sense. These "scientists" are wild arrogant.
