it might be wrong but we live in the white man's world....I think the school is doing them boys good

unless your credentials are above and beyond the job you applying to.....IMAGE matters and unfortunately since white people are the ones that control the business world, its unlikely you'll get hired all other things being held equal if you are TOO BLACK.....and dreads, cornrolls, and large fros are definitely too black for white people

I for one have been cutting my hair super short (taper fade) since college for this very reason. You can't get ahead in the business world unless you look the part. And being too black ain't looking the part unfortunately.

i'm that black folk who's considered safe and white folks almost always pick me over any other black folk and many times even over white ppl. but whatever you do you'll never really be accepted by some white folks.
when i used to work with white folk i hated having to work with ppl way under my education level even having to do the bosses work. i used to run the whole plant by myself. and that's when i had the dreads.
i got my money up and got up out of there and set up my own business. i have another business renting my other side of the building. i have way more peace of mind now.

image does matter but if you're talented and educated i see no problem lookin like cornel west lol.

Im sorry i meant politically. This guy is a teacher, friend.
A teacher is one who educates the youth.

Many people think blacks are uneducated and now you see a educated black male with dreadlocks and a job educating the youth.

That's a leader that should not be devalued in any way, friend.
