i was listening to the massacre in my moms car on the way to school as a 9 year old. i was born listening to rap. not pop music.

In 1992 I was 12 and my Mama was banging Mind Playin Tricks on Me by Ghetto Boys but I still knew about

Rock with you ('79)
Billie Jean ('82)
Dirty Dianna ('87)

and that's just speaking on his solo career. Jackson Five Albums were crack also.

All before hearing that shyt...Yea those who raised you failed you bruh. No way in hell you should have heard Massacre in full before hearing a full Michael Jackson album. Call your Mama right now and tell her how she has failed you.

this made me angry lol

anyway, start with the jackson five and just go down the line...to me the best MJ albums are 1. Off The Wall (the title song being my favorite MJ song of all time) 2. Thriller 3. Bad...those three right there are quintessential MJ....he had heat going into the 90s and all that but those are the must haves....try and separate your opinion from his public persona and all the media hype....dude made music that literally transcended everything....first black artist on MTV, his records played EVERYWHERE, and he is truly the biggest pop star to ever do it...

Side note, u said u were born in 95 and remember listening to the massacre but u don't remember when "you rock my world" came out with Jay-z on it?? that was around that time....or maybe it was earlier....i'm getting :flabbynsick:

expand ur horizons young man

OP's parents failed him. I don't have a kid yet, but my 10 year old niece been knowing MJ songs by heart since she was like 6 or so. Same way how I know about Motown and Earth Wind and Fire and other 70s acts from my parents.

I've been saying this for years...

Imagine if Mike asked Prince to collab on Dirty Diana instead of Bad :wow:....good chance Prince wouldn't have turned down Dirty Diana, and that song is the shyt even without Prince..but with him?? :ohlawd:
