I used to watch Total Recall as a kid all of the time but I never really understood what was going on. Damn near every scene in that movie had something that left me as a 5-year old like

And I was watching the R-rated version, not the made for TV cut.

Maybe it's because I was just a dumb ass kid that couldn't follow plots, but I didn't understand anything I was watching.




Why is his wife trying to kill him? Why does she make my weeny wiggle?

Who is Howser? His twin brother?

Why is there a red ball stuck inside his nose?

What are they doing to him? What's a lobotomy?

Why is the demonic looking johnny cab blowing up?

Why did this old lady turn into a robot and a bomb at the mention of 2 weeks?

What's this?

Benny is a monster? He's a bad guy? What about the five kids he has to feed?

What's wrong with her face?

Why is this talking demonic baby stuck in his chest? What does open your mind mean?

What is happening to them?

I had probably watched the movie 20 times before I understood even the basic plot. Idk what my dad was thinking sitting me down and letting me watch this shyt by myself
