Love Carlito's Way, but I hate the ending. I hate movies where its like: "If I just didn't do that one thing, everything would have worked out" Like Scarface died in a gunfight went out like a G. Carlito went out because he didn't kill Benny Blanco from the Bronx.

Carlito’s way is a significantly better film.
Both classic, and no need to choose. One is iconic 80's Miami Southern Florida excess, other is grimy NYC 1970s (via early 90's De Palma), totally different styles of movies, themes, execution. I love them both at different times, for similar and different reasons. I will say Carlito is a much more balanced protagonist than Tony.
