Bruh, I feel if they woulda styled her like this from the jump , while keeping the somewhat aggressive, raw emcee approach.. things mighta had a chance to go differently

Her look needed an adjacent but I don’t think there was anything remotely resembling longevity in her flow and content.

Would’ve been better off trying to mold her into a Remy type style, keep the feminine edge but also come off as a real spitta with some bars. And if she could sing a little, throw some vocals out there too.

Shĩt, that Azealia Banks lane never reached full potential for obvious reasons and I could definitely see another female artist — with non industry manufactured talent — taking that role up again if the music is right.

Idk if you remember but they was saying that’s why Remy flopped, cause they tried to make her “feminine” and it confused the base that they had been growing off of her as the “ante up” tough girl type shhit. 50 was going at Joe for this too I think, trying to soften her up when nobody wanted that. Same thing happened with this broad…now it’s probably a wriddap

Nicki and Kim and Fox and Megan and even Cardi and all them came in as spitters/hard but with the femininity, that’s why it worked, didn’t pull a switcharoo. This chick and Rem was straight gangsta…stay there, at least til the 2nd album or sumn lol. Labels think you need “soft” for female fans, that’s false, my daughters friends can probably go bar for bar on every single Lil Durk and all the other young deviant lil nigs songs, lol, they like tough too

Man fukk what these Coli A&R's are talking about....she just needs the records at this point....bottom line...she looks fine
You gotta be relatable/appealing first…then the records. That’s not A&R’ing, that’s just common sense if you’ve been watching things play out in the game…some of the worst rappers ever with wack ass records are lit because they’re “cool” to the babies for something. Your “personality” gets you filthy in today’s game…look at all the talentless people winning…from there you can just hire some song makers and shhit, look at Cardi B

And a lot of "cool trendsetters" make no headway because they don't have the music to fit the "vibe check".....like I said fukk what the Coli A&R team is talking about you nikkas are consistently wrong about every artist... :mjlol: it's like a science at this point....all they gotta do is the 100% opposite of whatever yall say

Yea! It’s a shame what happened to her, because she was super talented and definitely filled an interesting void smh
