Damn, the coli ain't got no love for Bryant Gumbel?
I still think the greatest injustice in all of sports is non-payment of athletes at the collegiate level. You look at what is programmed every night in this country, and the people who are making tons of money off of it. They’re not paying for the labor. That doesn’t upset anybody? We’re going to have a bowl season, and there’s what, 38 frickin’ bowl games?
Here’s how much of a radical I am: If we had a situation where the athletes in the non-revenue producing sports—tennis, volleyball, track and field, rowing, baseball—if those athletes were predominantly black, and the athletes in the revenue-producing sports, basketball and football, were predominantly white, this issue would have gone away long ago.
There’s no way people would have stood for it. It would not be an issue. But the reality is nobody but nobody in this country cares about young black men. They don’t. They don’t give a shyt. They just don’t care.

He was like the original sellout in the 80s and 90s. I have no personal problem with him but he was carleton before carleton to most of black america when I grew up. That said though, his sports commentary is very strong and sticking to that topic, I like his commentary.

Actually do the googles and you'll see he always been a real one ....yhe voice and all that is an act you cant be Nat X to get were that brother was trying to go and he got there but check the credentials he got more credibility than most

partially its because he is a true investigative reporter and journalist...they are a threat to most athletes who don't live a completely above board transparent life...that could mean anything....its the same reason why nobody wants to sit down with Bob Ley.
Sitting with Deion, or Rachel Nichols, or Terry bradshaw, or SAS is 100x safer if you're an athlete
