the biggest surprise in this thread was @360dagod saying he had a crush on dana from ESPN:scust: we should fire you from posting on the coli ever again.

espn's cable business model is outdated so the layoffs shouldn't be that surprising. they're just now reshaping and catching up so it's all coming in at once. plus most of those ppl have been at espn for several years so they have experience and should be smart enough to bounce back on their feet.

Time out. Now that I think about it, damn near every Pixar, Lucas and Marvel film makes triple or quadruple it's budget. So how can ESPN not afford to take a loss if Disney's profits and revenue are still high?
Because Disney is greedy and doesn't wanna dip into those funds.

BECAUSE ESPN ISNT HOLDING UP ITS SHARE ANYMORE.

WTF WOULD YOU WASTE YOUR PROFITS ON A SINKING SHIP?

THATS BAD BUSINESS

ESPN IS PAYING THE NFL/NBA/MLB BILLIONS.

Breh we're talking about the people getting fired, they're not getting annual salaries over a million.

nikka I didn't say everybody. I'm talking the on-air personalities.

But some of those writers make major money too

Given that ESPN and Vice got a working agreement, wouldn't stun me in the least if you watched ESPN and heard "with more on fan reaction from the Draft, here's Desus & Mero."

Sports Illustrated already has Mero doing small segments here and there online

I would agree but they may fall back for a bit. Didn't Desus just say nikka on sportsnation the other day?

Wow it's crazy how many of these guys are taking this with such grace. Even though their television has turned to utter shyt, behind the scenes it must be amazing working for them
Seeing as how many end up coming back it's no surprise . Also it doesn't look good to verbally lash out one employer in hopes for another .
