They do do that it’s just nobody watches

I mean I used to love Baseball I used to follow it just as closely as I did the NFL and the NBA but I just don’t anymore

Alot of people are like that now

They have all these channels they have to fill it up with shyt that‘s the problem

There’s not enough stuff to talk about that people care about thats why they talk about the same shyt over and over

You may say you tired of the NFL and LeBron but the numbers say otherwise
One of the major drawbacks in everything moving to streaming. Cable channels just don’t have the content to help fill screen time and they aren’t trying to go down on their fees to make up for it.

Fair point.

But from my understanding it’s obvious ratings won’t be the same for awhile when you cover other topics.

You can’t be like Jokic name doesn’t bring in the ratings like Lebron does when ESPN been covering Lebron every day for 20 years. It’s not fair on that standpoint considering the media was forced to acknowledge other players this finals.

NFL is forever a staple in America, but Lebron and Curry won’t be around here forever.

Nba media gonna be dumb founded for a min

It’s a big problem

ESPN has no clue what to do right now :pachaha:
The long term answer is obvious in that the only station they need is ESPN and maybe ESPN2 at the most, but it’s too much money at stake for them to do it.

Supposedly the plan is to offer ESPN as a separate package outside of cable, but that doesn’t really solve the problem either if it’s not going to split content with ESPN+.

They need to downsize on those hot take shows. They all talk about the same thing just under a different show name all day on ESPN.

Bruh. It's fukking terrible. Get Up is just First Take with slightly less yelling, and a larger cast. First Take is a caricature of the already ridiculous show it once was. This Just In is just a lower energy Get Up with a smaller cast. There's literally no reasons for a sane person to watch, especially since like you said, it's the same topics on repeat.

All those shows are just redundant and they run back to back to back. They need to go back to the drawing board and actually have REAL sports talk with analytics and stats. Not a bunch The View sports talk clones. I dont mind maybe one or two of them shows airing, but not the damn daily schedule block.

Yeah, man. Variety is SORELY needed. I get that the debate/panel style shows dominate the schedule because they're so cheap to produce, but they really don't need to be the same format if they're all going to follow each other on the daily schedule. Especially since you can have days where you fukk around and don't see someone who wasn't already on one of the previous shows until maybe NFL Live comes on. Filling an entire TV schedule with the sports equivalent of Game starting every single freestyle with "Red Rolls, white ceiling..." is CRAZY.

If you’re a commentator on that network and you don’t have a social media presence in this day and age (Key, Jay Will, Max), you’re asking to get cut. Kendrick Perkins, Swagu, and that whole NFL Network crew are heavily active on social media. As is Shannon Sharpe, which that alone will put a premium on his price.
