He's only KOd Diaz and Hatton in his "run" anyways.....so how did his power go missing?

He beats u down and overwhelms his opponents with his punching volume and awkward style of throwing punches.

Don't let the Mayweathers insecurities lead u to believe that Manny was just KOing everybody and now he isn't, because DLH wasn't KOd, Clottey wasn't, Mosley wasn't, JMM in his 3 losses to Manny wasn't, Margarito wasn't, and Cotto wasn't "KOd" either....he was beat down by volume of punches. He never was knocked out unconscious.

Were people really expecting Manny to KO Rios? Brandon is a tough dude who has never been knocked out and is naturally bigger than Pac.
Too many people buying into that HBO announcers meme that because Manny hasn't knocked anyone out since Cotto that something is wrong with him. Instead of it being a combo of moving up in weight and fighting dudes not known for getting knocked out.
Look at the dudes he fought...they don't get knocked out on the regular: JMM never been KO'd, Clottey never been KO'd, Bradley never been KO'd, Mosley never been KO'd, Margarito only KO'd once.

He's an undersized Welterweight that's fought Clottey, Mosley, Marg, JMM (twice) and Bradley.

None of these guys (sans Marg in the Mosley fight) have ever been stopped.

But we're questioning Manny's power?

Good to see there are still rational posters 'round here. Not to say PEDs are ever out of the question of any professional level sport, but his KO rate is not the silver bullet to prove his guilt.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Rios definitely felt Pac's power... he was in a shell the entire fight similar to when Pac fought Clottey... Rios wasn't even trying to engage until he was up close inside during and coming out of the clinch.... Rios even said himself in the post fight press conference that had he tried to go for the KO against Pac he probably would've got KO'd himself

Manny power has decreased though, also his body has been frail looking the last 3 fights.
Manny brutalized Margarito who is heavy and a lot more durable than Rios.
Rios was not beating up as badly as we all imagined he would be at the end of fight
he looked a lot worst in his past fights, this is all people are saying

Can you prove this??
:mjpls: Josh didn't put up a fight at all from the opening bell to the end, stayed with his hands up more than he usually did in the past. This was a guy that went to war and arguably out-dueled a prime MargaCheato. He also went missing witness protection style afterwards, how was he able to eat with such a long stint of inactivity? :mjpls:

So in other words all you have is a THEORY... you shouldn't confuse that with these things we call facts:smugfavre:

Rios was at 135 lbs not that long ago so he's more accustomed to being in the ring with faster fighters. Obviously he was still overwhelmed by Manny's speed, but seemed to handle it better than the bigger 147 lbers Manny faced previously. Those other guys Manny faced are not used to that type of hand speed.

I know Mayweather isn't relevant to this thread, but people have it fukked up when they think bigger guys are gonna beat guys like a Pac or Mayweather. These 2 will overwhelm you with speed. You need a smaller guy who is familiar with the type of hand speed these guys are coming with to deal with them.
