Just a wondering.
Animals are getting pretty smart. Chimps using sign language, elephants using touch screens, when are we going to be able to hold full conversations with one of these creatures? And by full conversation, complex things like what they feel the meaning of life is rather than what color are apples.
I know that vocally it may not be possible, our vocal chords aren't the same, but maybe a specialized keyboard or translation device of some sorts? I think we're maybe 20-30 years out, but definitely think its within reach of possibility.
On a side note, i bet we'd already be able to communicate if we were the dominate specie in primal combat. Tigers prolly don't respect us eye to eye cause they know they could put them paws on us, not knowing what the real ramification of that gun powder is.
