I still don't get the point of a station wagon to this day. It's smaller than a mini van and it's smaller than a SUV, how useful can it be?

Isn’t the point of a wagon supposed to be a mid size sedan with extra cargo room?

I used to ask the same for Tiny SUVS like the Toyota CH-R but I realized tiny Japanese sedans don’t have AWD.
