Good movie
Saw "Superfly"...not bad.

It was str8....eazy e and big bank carried it....no one else was even memorable...not even the story
Feel it was more of a successor to belly than superfly...in spirit at least....belly takes the cake alone just off the crazy angle and lighting effects etc hype put to use. ..this director was pretty straightforward and drab

Only thing I didn't like about this film was they had SuperFly seem like he was unfukkwitable when it comes to fighting during that opening club fight scene. After that, it's like he lost his fighting skills. But I know they couldn't have him seem invincible for the entire movie, maybe they coulda showed he got injured or something so that slowed him down for other fight scenes.

I noticed that the original Superfly became on a par with his trainer, and invincible. "Too Sweet", played by Leon Issac Kennedy in "Penitentiary" was invincible too. But this new Superfly wasn't invincible. I guess you can't be too handsome and unstoppable at the same time, like back in the day. These invincible roles are going to ugly brothers, or brothers not too hot. As a result, they're trying to make these brothers hot to the ladies, and the Leon Issac Kennedy's less masculine, and it seems to be working, I think. It seems like these producers today would rather write "Too Sweet" into a fakkit, before they'd give him a powerful role like in "Penitentiary", especially if they're going to give him a name like that.

I hated superfly fighting scene in the beginning and quickness to avoid the gun shot.. thought he was John Wick for a minute..
My favorite parts was the barbershop shooting scene and they boy getting killed in his car with his side bytch

Watching it now. Not bad? This would be one of the worst movies of 2018. Film has no redeeming qualities.

Finally caught it last week. Pretty good, lots of style and Snow Patrol was hilarious. The car chase was a bit of a stretch though. Snow Patrol boss must've been goin 10mph when he hit the statue but the car still exploded.

Watched it on lunch break and it holds up. I wouldn't call it great though.
