I decided to watch the American remake first to see why it gets shytted on. I thought it was fine until the whole incest shyt came up. I was :scust: That shyt ruined the movie for me. I was like, "I guess that's why people shyt on it." :manny: Then I watch the OG one and it's almost the same exact thing!

Who the fukk wants to see a movie based around that shyt? :scust:

Movies were meh after that, but if I had to chose I'd go with the American version being better; probably because of the actors.

Here's my problem with Spike's version: It didn't do anything different. It was too reverent to the original and he didn't make it his own at all, which makes it extremely pointless and boring. And there's just something about the material that I'm not sure an American director of any race can grab onto and really dig in because our cultures are so damn different

How high were you when you watched it?

Because one is flat out better then the other, and there is differences.

Not that I expect a marvel fan to notice differences :deadmanny:

While I agree with you in some points, I thought the ending was handled differently enough, as well as the mechanics of what set the antagonist off to go on his revenge plot. If anything, I liked the latter part better in the American version, but that was about the only thing that I preferred in the American version to the original and definitely preferred the OG ending to the American one. The Remake ending seemed a lil too....Ionno...."safe/conventional", for lack of better word. Also, I could've sworn the beginning was handled a bit differently too, albeit not adding much to the movie as a whole, but showed that the protagonist was always a bit of an a$$hole all around, wheres as I don't recall the original delving into his character before his kidnapping happened much, outside of the backtracking that was explained near the ending. I didn't shyt on the remake though, but I did think that the fight scenes, while still quite visceral enough, seemed a bit more superfluous and technical than how raw and more real feeling that the original did. That right there alone is why a good reason why I preferred the original.

The beginning of the remake was so dumb.

Brolins about to close a deal then offers blow and sex to his clients wife. So over the top and cheesey. Just no.
