They did a good job of explaining that she's a he. She has a reality show that talks about her transformation and the rest of the cast know and accept it. The character is actually really cool and has a crush on Jamie (Jessie's son).
cmon man with this shyt. the worst part is if some dude hooks up and ends up liking this transformer and finds out that she's a he. I don't care what nobody say, that's gonna fukk you up mentally.
The black dude is a straight guy that's really smart, can sing and into theater and takes care of his grandmother. There's no hidden agenda. He's friends with the tranny but only best friends. It was well written and tasteful, no homo.
It's not like the Chi or anything by Lena Waithe where the black man has to be emasculated and make out with trannies or get killed off then a random lesbian porn scene is thrown in there for her pleasure.
Lowkey, the minorities on the show are really smart (Daisy, Devante and the black chick with the fat ass, forgot her name)

I watched the 1st episode because that's the only one free, not bad 
. I might get around to signing up for a free trial and burning through the season, but only after I go through other shows in my backlog.

Definitely balanced mixing in the OGs with new kids. Never felt that the OGs overtook the show. Very self aware and current (well as of last year). The only OG centric episode is episode 8. Show is hilarious. Definitely worth burning through a free trial
Took me like 4 episodes to realize that they got a treh in this motherfukka while trying to cover every diversity & inclusion checkbox item. Literally got a chick as the QB of the football team and the one breh singing his ass off while the same QB chick is from the hood like him and accusing him of being a thief 
Ridiculous and the shyt also shows that there’s a wide open space for a cool high school show because it has literally never been done. OG “Saved” was corny people right along with Boy Meets World and Degrassi. Imagine a show with some Theo Huxtable type kids with swag and sense of self.
