It was corny when it came out. It fit the time for the type of teen movies that would drop, but it never held up like American pie or 10 things I hate about you.

One thing I appreciate about the more recent teen movies is they actually have actors who look like teenagers. During the Save the Last Dance era you had 30 year olds playing 16 year olds smh
