And some of ya really wanted the best record:mjtf:

And miss out on this food:mjtf:

This was a glorified bye round. I'm not passing this up

Judging from some key ring winning teams, starting off with a really easy team in the playoffs ain't really foreshadowing for a ring. Usually the champions have to deal with adversity before rolling into a championship

If the Astros beat the Rays and we face them in the ALCS again, it's not going to be a cake walk like some Astros fans believe. If the '17 Yankees took the Astros to 7 games, then the '19 Yankees can do the same and potentially beat them this time.

This Yankees team is different and much better for different reasons:

*The '17 Yankees didn't have DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres, Gio Urshela, Giancarlo Stanton, Edwin Encarnacion, Cameron Maybin.

*Aaron Judge is a different hitter than he was in his rookie year. In 2017, he was pretty much a HR-or-bust hitter. He led the majors in strikeouts and had 27 strikeouts in the playoffs in 2017, an AL record. Now, he's much more balanced, he gets more extra-base hits, gets more walks and is a more patient hitter.

*The Yankees starting pitching in 2017 (Sevy, Tanaka, CC) is about the same as it is now (Paxton, Tanaka, Sevy). Also, our bullpen is just as deadly as it was in 2017. Astros starting pitching is also about the same as it was in 2017 (JV, Keuchel, Morton vs. JV, Cole, Greinke).

If it's going to be Astros-Yankees ALCS Part 2 this year, then I except it to be a 6-7 game series that can easily go either way. Obviously, I hope it goes in the Yankees favor this year.

It should be an epic battle.

Paxton is better than 2017 CC, other than that I agree.
