While collapse in demand is bad news for all oil producers, on balance Putin is probably happy Texas producers may be forced to start shut-ins.

This is actually good news from Putin's perspective. Russian oil is classified under Brent Crude marker which has remained relatively stable today. Russia has long wanted to see shale producers out of the market and the WTI crash does that for now.

I’d imagine this helps MBS as well. Hell, most of the oil power players gotta be glad that U.S. shale has been crippled like this.
