Leslie coming into her own though. She was God awful in the beginning. I can watch her punk people all day.
I'm rooting for them, but is this not the worst weekend update duo ever? Jost isn't that strong and Che has a lot of work to do. And can somebody get the lint out that nikka hair for Gods sake.

'SNL' airing a star-studded 40th anniv. celebration

Jack Nicholson has never hosted “Saturday Night Live,” so what’s he doing taking part in the show’s 40th anniversary celebration?

Being pals with “SNL” creator Lorne Michaels is apparently enough to score a cameo on the 3-hour live telecast, airing Sunday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. Nicholsonstays with Michaels in the Hamptons and sits with him in the front row at Yankee Stadium.

Having been a featured player on the show, though, doesn’t guarantee you a spot — just ask Joe Piscopo, who won’t be performing but did at least snag one of the coveted audience seats. Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza fits just 210 people.

“The audience will be unlike any the show has ever had,” said one source. “Nobody gets a seat unless they were on ‘SNL’ or have had some intimate connection with the show.”

Former cast member Eddie Murphy, who’s never returned for previous reunions, is expected to perform, along with Chevy Chase, Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.

The reclusive Murphy downplayed his estrangement from the show after he was mocked as a “falling star,” and told News One, “It’s just timing . . . It just never worked out where the timing was right for me to do it.”

Fans of Piscopo are disappointed he will not be performing.

“Let’s face it, some of the best skits on ‘SNL’ were Joe and Eddie together,” said one Piscopo fan. “It would be nice if Lorne remembered that.”

But Piscopo, who — like Murphy — was hired by Jean Doumanian in the brief period when she replaced Michaels, is just happy he was invited as a guest.

Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, Paul Simon and Taylor Swift will provide the music. Among the returning hosts are Emma Stone, Betty White, Derek Jeter and Alec Baldwin.
