As fun as it was to see Eddie Murphy back, this was pretty much like every other SNL show. Monologue was great, Weekend Update ok, their digital short was hilarious, but the show was basically over after Weekend Update, again.
It's like when WWE brings back all the old school wrestlers to mask the fact that the show was mid.

Weekend Update was funny and Michael Che is the saving grace of modern day SNL
Eddie did great. His monologue was great, Mister Robinson’s neighborhood was great, Vernon Jones was funny. Only thing I wasn’t feeling was Buckwheat and thats because I never found buckwheat funny.
The Family For The Holidays skit Was overall the funniest. Eddie’s comedic timing is still top notch

I think Dave had a hand in writing all the skits when he hosted. It felt like Eddie trusted the writers with his material tonight. They didn’t do bad at all though
Definitely did, I’m just getting past Weekend update. And they pulled out Gumby.

SNL just has too much going on. The Chappelle epp was cheeks too minus his opening and the skit he did with all his old characters.IT STARTED OFF MAD STRONG.

Cold open was ass. Mr Robinson skit was funny cause they actually did it with a modern tie in. The holiday family skit was funny. Everything else was ehh to trash. That buckwheat shyt was pure nostalgia. The black jeopardy shyt was ass. Jokes weren’t hitting and Eddie was flubbing. That last skit was awful as well. I’ll check out YT to see the cut for time stuff. Pretty wack show which has been an issue all season outside Ferrell
I think he’s been trying to leave for a minute but Lorne keeps convincing him to stay. He’s doing other stuff on NBC now. I think he host some talent show with John Legend Wife
