Thats not how independent contractors work. Yes there is a fixed amount of time she is supposed to work but what Sasha, Punk and Rey Mysterio understood that others didnt is apart from that non compete clause is that while WWE is an "at will" company, once that contract is signed, WWE is the client not the wrestler. Therefore she can leave and sit at home and the company cant really do shyt. Is it the ideal way to do things? No. But she didnt walk out or abandon the company. She simply left them with a choice to give her what she wants or release her. They chose to do neither so they are where they are
