who gives a fukk about the talking points though? the media has been talking negatively about the eagles all season regardless. this uproar about the record has highkey been annoying AF. initially, i wanted the offense out there for at least 2 drives (mostly due to jalen being removed from live play for so long by the time the playoffs start, not for no record), but thinking about it further and that isnt the smart play at all. we had the earliest bye week in the league (week 5) and ran off a 10 game win streak with max effort, these dudes deserve the rest. i much rather us lose wild card weekend and have the media and non eagles fans talk about the record for 4 months straight vs us going for the record and possibly losing a major piece, only to end up losing wild card weekend anyway. the super bowl was the goal with the saquon signing, why change the objective now?

I think Saquon cares and a lot of players do, but the org stepped in and made the call. Nothing wrong with that other than the fact that Jalen is one of them dudes who needs to see the field to ensure some level of consistency. This is now his 3rd season in a row with a late season injury, and in '22 he was rusty af until the superbowl

He cares and wants the record. He cant say that publicly though. PR wise that's a bad look. Most of the offense being on board doesnt matter if the Team Captain(Lane) is strongly against it and probably has support from higherups in the org.

Sirianni wont lose lockeroom over this, im sure the players know it's lane who pushed against it. Im sure the lockeroom knows if it was up to Nick, he would have them going for the record.
