The scheme was ass, what I look like hyping up some pencil necks that never played the game over people that actually played the sport. Both avant and DO said the scheme was ass
I mean, if that is your argument, that James Jones I mentioned is the WR from Green Bay that won a superbowl. Shannon Sharpe pushed back on DO saying no one was open for 2 quarters either. Some of those ppl way more accomplished than DO ever was. Just sayin :hubie:

I was more so referring to SAS and nick wright.

But unless they sitting down and breaking down all 22, and not just showing standard highlights, they ain’t doing nothing but reaching for ratings. Only DO took time to actially look at all 22 film. But maybe things have changed and they spent time breaking stuff down on air I don’t know I wasn’t watching :whoa:

I mean to prove DO's point of saying "no one was open", both first take and the facility played clips and showed some being open or open enough for a decent qb to make the throw and the receiver to catch it. Shannon pointed it out while DO was there, then DO said something like "Jalen isnt the kinda qb to throw it like that".
I posted about it in the game thread when someone posted the DO breakdown
They killed DO for that. He sorta walked it back. I think they played a clip of a play for DO to explain and SAS was like "dude was open around the 40" and shannon said somebody(Godert?) was open on the flat route. DO basically said those ppl arent really "open" for jalen since he not a timing/accuracy guy.
Long story short, DO was on bullshyt.

I’ll have to respectfully disagree. Scheme was ass :yeshrug: so much to the point where people saying they were being conservative on purpose to save shyt for later in the playoffs I’m hoping that’s the case

I don't think they were that audacious, but it definitely felt like they leaned conservative. GB has a top 5 defense, they could've had 5 or 6 INTs in that week one game, Jalen hasn't played in a few weeks, our defense has them in a box, etc - just don't give them life with mistakes and let's wrap this up.

Reminds me of how the Chiefs spent the whole 2nd half of last years title game just chewing clock and punting because Baltimore couldn't force them to do more.

I definitely think some of it was by design to the points you made.

With that being said and kind of off topic, I am a little disappointed with Kellen. Maybe that's on me but I really thought he would bring more creativity to the offense. I'm not saying go full Ben Johnson, but AJ Brown can run more routes than slants and comebacks... where are the posts or hitches?

I wouldn't mind if he left other than the fact that would give Jalen his 6th playcaller since he's been a starter.

Kellen has been a really good playcaller this yr

The key to unlocking our offense is variety...when we mix things up, attack all levels of the def with the passing game, commit to the run consistently, we're the best team in the league

Kellen brought motion back so we could better identify coverages pre-snap. Kellen had Jalen under C, which made play action more effective. Kellen had Jalen throwing a bit more over the middle this season, which Jalen was reluctant to do in past seasons. Kellen has leaned on the run game when Jalen was ineffective passing. Even the fake tush push on the throw to AJ on Sun was a creative call, it was an off target throw.

Let's hope that the offense continues to be creative, exploits mismatches, remains healthy & controls the clock over the next 4 wks

Agree to disagree on this one.

How many times does one of our defensive backs go out and then you see teams immediately target the back up vs how many times do you see that happen on our end? Our offensive philosophy is our guy is better than you and will win the matchup , which is true most of the time, but we could also exploit mismatches more and make it easier

We have multiple ways to beat teams offensively...the prob is that our pass game is inconsistent and Jalen doesn't like to throw the ball in tight windows

Everyone on offense has room for improvement this Sun

I also think is going up 10 early, was the catalyst behind playing conservative and not unloading the clip

GB's def was a good test for us so now we gotta build on what worked and clean up what didn't work

At the end of the day, balance is what's gonna win us a SB

How can we say he doesn’t like to throw in tight windows if he has the highest completion % over expectations in tight windows in back to back years?

Kellen Moore has been advertised as a boy genius and he’s anything but

He only throws in tight windows to AJ & Devonta...he doesn't trust anyone else in those situations...it's why he takes unnecessary sacks

39 yds through the middle of the 3rd qtr is unacceptable....3 targets to AJ, and 4 to Devonta, unacceptable...taking a sack with 5 seconds to throw, unacceptable

But I'm optimistic that will change on Sun and going fwd

The best thing we did offensively on Sun is give Saquon 25 Carries...now let's see what a dominant run game looks like with a better pass game

So if he only does that who is supposed to help fix that… is it not coaching? :dead: and it sounds like you agree since it will get better

Kellen Moore isn't a problem for the team, he's light yrs better as an OC than Brian Johnson

Hurts has gotta be better bc that's the only way we'll win a SB

Everything is so catered to Jalen...nikka, go out there and execute

Like I said, I'm optimistic everyone will be better

No one said Jalen can't execute better. It's just weird that there's a narrative you and others push that Jalen put his foot down and said he's only gonna do 3 things and the whole org fell in line to his demands. Makes zero sense :russ:
