You main event the match that most of the people came there to see. It's simple business - you give them what they came for earlier, they may just up and leave, which doesn't look good when you're televising an event.
Sometimes that match can be a women's match.

Funny all these old wrestlers with trash hot takes suddenly pop up now, and not when Trish/Lita main evented.

Just sounds like a bunch of out-of-touch back-in-my-day motherfukkers getting their names back in the press by shytting on it. Most of the women in WWE and probably every woman in Stardom including the hair/makeup women could work circles around Sandman when it comes to actually working a match... so why entertain someone who used to beat himself bloody with a can before his match even started?
