McElroy had a better grasp of what was going on with the team as a rookie drafted in the 7th round, than Mark Sanchez does now He is more then likely not the answer at QB but I would have made it an open competition at camp off the strength of the quotes alone, just to see how Sanchez and Tebow would respond. He is probably nowhere near the talent level needed to be a successful QB long term, but he seems to "get it" even if he handled this situation the wrong way earlier this year.

But then again, that's probably why I'm not an NFL coach
