Quinn been on hella drugs for years which he admitted himself in the interview. The majority of his generation (Jacka, Mess, Mac Dre, etc.) been on hella drugs for years including H, it's normal in that circle. What he said in the interview didn't sound like downplaying, it sounded like somebody who's been haunted by his demons for years and has resigned himself to using drugs to cope like the majority of his peers do.
