I know that because the quarter before and quarter after the iPhone outsold the galaxy lol. Lol they sold 70 million plus iPhones in just 1 quarter breh. Galaxy ain't touching that.
Wrong! You obviously don't know shyt because the 70 million iPhones sold in 1Qtr that you're mentioning is TOTAL worldwide, not for the U.S.
Lol like I said a 200 billion loss still head n shoulders above the best year for Samsung in years.
"Like I said", a 200 Billion loss for Apple in 2016 based on the iPhone's declining sales is always worse than a 7 Billion dollar gain for Samsung (3rd Qtr 2016) any day of the week!
iPhone 7 Shipments Won’t Be Enough To Revive Apple Inc. Sales
Gartner said in a report that growth in the worldwide smartphone market will slow this year to just 4.5%. The slowdown is mainly because the research firm expects the sales of premium smartphones to decline by 1.1% for the full year. A decline in premium smartphone sales won’t be a good sign for Apple, which has seen the iPhone sales decline for the first time since launch.
Gartner analyst Roberta Cozza said the worldwide iPhone sales will continue to decline in the third and fourth quarters of 2016 despite the launch of iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
Issues that iPhone 7 users are facing
Ever since the launch of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, users have been complaining about several issues. For instance, the iPhone 7 users on Verizon are facing LTE connectivity issues. The phones randomly drop the LTE signal and fall back to 3G. Meanwhile, BMW owners have complained that their brand new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus would not connect to the infotainment system in their cars via Bluetooth for some reason.
And now several iPhone 7 and 7 Plus buyers have taken it to social media and various forums to complain about an Activation Lock issue. Users reported that their iPhones were linked to Apple ID email addresses that did not belong to them. With a wrong Apple ID appearing there, you can’t sign in and setup the iPhone. The issue appears when users turn on the device for the first time.
Sales are so in the dumps Apple won't even report the numbers for the iPhone 7.
Apple (AAPL) won’t reveal opening weekend iPhone sales, claims logistics, reasons
With a big
question mark over whether the
iPhone 7 will be perceived as a genuine new model or a second S-year, all eyes were going to be on the opening weekend sales numbers. It seems we’re not going to get the chance, however: Apple has just told
CNBC that it will not be revealing this information.
The company claims that the decision was made for logistical reasons …
Initial sales will be governed by supply, not demand, and we have decided that it is no longer a representative metric for our investors and customers. Therefore we won’t be releasing a first-weekend number any longer.
The company says that its
guidance for the quarter remains unchanged, which is for revenue of between $45.5B and $47.5B. If accurate, this would represent a significant year-on-year decline from
last year’s $51.5B.
The announcement is likely to come as a disappointment to investors and analysts, who use opening weekend numbers to gauge the popularity of a new model.
