That's just how it is. The iPhone gets apps first, gets newer versions, and typically gets better versions than Android phones. Something like Touch ID is universally supported on iPhone at this point. On Android most apps still don't support the fingerprint scanner. What are the odds that any apps inside the next year and a half support the iris scanner?

On my Galaxy S7. I had to disable Swiftkey and use the Samsung keyboard because Swiftkey slows my phone down. Not an issue on my iPhone 6s.
Way to keep it honest. Too many fanboys on here man lol. I have both and no reason to hate on either. It is what it is. Samsung takes the crown on hardware but over the years I realize software trumps hardware in daily use. The note got more features and a killer app (gif maker) but touchwiz as a skin is suspect at times and key apps are a little better on iOS.

The screen, pen, and gif maker made me really want to replace my iPhone entirely but I just can't do it for those reasons I mentioned. It's frustrating to go to that when you been used to how well iOS on the 6s runs. It feels like a step back in intuitiveness.

As of right now I'm using my 14 days to decide if I want to keep 2 phones or return the note and just rock with the 6s. We will see

On another note the s pen and gif maker is great and I'll say the note 7 screen is the best ever.

BUT...I'm gonna keep it 1000. Touch wiz on the note is slower than iOS on my iPhone 6s. What's also a shame is that Google hangouts is much smoother and faster on my iPhone...that blew my mind.

Haven't tried maps yet.

Note 7 is basically better than iPhone in every way except software. Touch wiz is the worst part about this phone. Apps don't open as fast...super sensitive to touch on apps (I've accidentally opened up the wrong app way too many times)...my most used apps seem to work faster/smoother on my iPhone (hangouts, maps, texting in general)

Trying to get used to this phone over my iPhone because it just flat out has more features and the screen and hardware is just flat out better but as of right now The user experience is better on my iPhone 6s as crazy as that sounds. Touch wiz needs a major overhaul

Try Nova launcher

I think I'm gonna dump this Galaxy S7 on swappa and get the Note 7. Al long as I sell these phones when they have decent value I can roll the bulk of the purchase price over into the latest device but if I keep them too long and the value drops too much they become worthless. If I sell the S7 and get the Note between selling the Gear Fit 2 and old phone the Note will cost maybe $400 + tax. That's only $50 over the subsidized price and I can dump the Note for an S8 to continue.

How the hell does it have twice the RAM and still have to reload all those apps? That must be a Samsung RAM management thing.

If you guys are complaining about tw on the note than its likely you never used any previously released Sammy devices. This version tw is it's best instance yet. No it doesn't perform as smooth as iOS but it's not like it's dreadful either. It's a small price to pay for everything else which trumps the iPhone. in a few weeks once you get more used to it you'll likely never think of a iPhone again.

Houston to LA like I'm Robert Horry.

Final frontier. If there is one thing Apple has to a T it's their performance optimization. To their credit Sammy has gotten a lot better in that aspect, to the point it shouldn't be an issue for the average person, but if they ever close that gap :whew:

I don't know about better but there are certainly advantages to having the hardware and operating system be unified under a single company. If Apple comes out with a new feature then app developers will usually instantly embrace it. If an Android OEM comes up with a new feature app developers will typically ignore it for years. Fingerprint scanners have been out for years now. They're standard on all flagship Android phones. All these apps that have logins should support them but that isn't the case.

These app developers treat Android users like second class citizens. Sure you get the apps but they're typically older versions with less features and when upgrades, redesigns, and new features happen it could be 4-6 months before you get them on Android.

Its not better, you're just more used to iOS.

And the 6Splus hangs and freezes alot as well. The buttery smooth days of iOS are long gone breh

I love Apple and do like iOS better but i do like this phone better so far
I do feel it's easier to use iOS cuz of familiar reasons and how long I used it and the smooth process
But I honestly don't see a difference at this moment using the apps as far as performance tho
Software wise I'll always ride apple it's y u I have a Mac and had a iPhone
But wanted to try something new cuz of so many features I did this phone
Overall in time I'll know for sure if I feel it's better for me than iPhone since mines lasted awhile and the performance of it still remained solid
Long term is the answer to this phone for me since I dont like buying phones often
Your always gonna like something more on 1 than another so u make sacrifices and pick the one that best suites you

I think I'm returning mine before my 14 days is up. Has a few features I love and the hardware is beautiful but I can't get over the fact that my apps on the iPhone 6s run better and doesn't hiccup like touchwiz. Also i can let go of my good one hand use.

Wish I could have that gif maker though.
Your series of quotes all came within a 4 hour span. If you're serious, you'd take your time with the phone and use it as its intended, not just use it for a few hours, determine it's "not as good as the iphone" then rush to return it.

because if iOS is the ultimate benchmark to a "good" cellphone experience, then you might as well stay in ios.
