The Fukin Prophecy
RIP Champ
So who still holding this IED aside for me?
I came up brehs
Walked into Best Buy (had to deal with them since that's where I bought the phone).
Total come-up from this whole debacle:
- Requested the all-black S7 Edge
- Asked Best Buy rep to let me talk to Verizon when they got them on the phone
- Told the Verizon rep over the phone that I paid an early termination fee to get the Note 7, and now I'm screwed
- Convinced the Verizon rep to make a note in my file that I could upgrade the S7 Edge to something else within the calendar year with no early termination fee
- Best Buy had a deal where if you upgraded to an S7 Edge, you got a free 32 in Samsung Smart TV
- Lawyer in me said, "This is an upgrade, right?"
- Best Buy guy looks at his manager, shrugs shoulders, and says, "I guess it is."
- Free 256 GB memory card
- Free Samsung Gear VR
- Free 32 in Samsung Smart TV
- Free upgrade to a new phone within the calendar year (S8 Edge ; Note 8 )
I still miss my Note 7 though
So I had a little come up too brehs. I originally Jumped Upgraded (T-Mobile) my Black S7 and the Wife's Note 5 for two Note 7's. Received the Note 7's, Put the Note 5 and S7 in the same box, slapped the return shipping label that came in the box and shipped them off. A few weeks later, I still see the charges for the old phones on my account, plus the 2 note 7's. So I call T-mobile and go through the rigamarole for about 3 weeks to get the old devices taken off. I finally get a manager who not only takes the old devices off my account, but credits the Note 7's as well. So I have the Note 7's free and clear, and when I return them, they will give me full value ( I already verified). I also received two Gear fit 2, and two $25 Credits for the first replacement Notes. Now, whatever I upgrade to, will be free and will receive at least another $50 in bill credits.
so the Breakdown
x2 Gear Fit S2 @ $150 --- $300
x2 Samsung Galaxy Note 7 @ $860 ---$1720
X2 Bill Credit for 1st recalled Note @ $25 --- $50
X2 Bill Credit for 2nd recalled Note @ $25 --- $50
Grand Total of Wins -----------------------$2,120
LETS FEAST BREHS!!!!

LETS FEAST BREHS!!!!
Finally came to terms with this shyt brehs, just got home from best buy
Said fukk it & just copped the Edge wit the free TV & $100 credit. I couldn't turn down that offer knowing that losing the note is inevitable at this point.
This S7 edge shyt feels kinda ass though to be honest
I remember fukking with it when it first came out & thought it was perfect. Now it seems small as shyt & the display is definitely a downgrade. But it is what it is
fukk it, it's over
So who still holding this IED aside for me?
So I talked to my rep again today regarding holding out exchanging the phone till the S8 comes out because there ain't nothing in the store I like and I'm not getting a free television like yall are...All my incentive is $75 for a phone that will be obsolete in 4 months...
She confirmed there is no cut off for the exchange so that strategy of waiting for the S8 is viable BUT because this recall situation is unprecedented she can't guarantee they won't disable the IMEI's which will basically turn your Note7 into a tablet...Basically it all comes down to the US government, if they want the phones off the streets the carriers have to comply...As of right now the recall is still "voluntary" meaning you don't have to exchange it but they are insisting you do so...but if a lot of folk ain't turning them in and these joints keep exploding they will have to make it mandatory by disabling the IMEIs to force those exchanges...
Do you breh...Powered down my Note 7 for the last time. I'm turning it in Monday for a full refund. Gonna use the Note 5 and stick with it till I'm sure Samsung's next phone is safe.
Do you breh...
I don't have a 5 to fall back on and my refund would be $350...
So I'm holding till the S8 or they disable the IMEI's...
Play roulette with your limbs brehs...
Imma have to do this. Did he bother to check of you actually paid a termination fee? The whole idea of even having to pay one within the next year given the circumstance is fukking retardedI came up brehs
