You don't know what the risk really is. Over a prolonged period of time who is to say? The people that had those phones used them just as you used yours and it randomly happened. The phones were operating normally until they randomly caught fire. Hell one of them wasn't even on. It wasn't like it happened the first day either. There's flat out no way you will even be in the clear because at any moment it could happen. What is clear is there is a design flaw with that phone that wasn't an easy fix for them.It's a 0.5% risk according to the numbers...

If it's worth it to you to use a dead product that could permanently disfigure you or worse and will be replaced in a few months by one with likely better features then that's on you.
