Who's still updating phones every year though?

People who don't understand technology peaked and we not in the space age development curve anymore.

There 2 crowds of tech consumers. Those who understand the specs performance of devices and those that are there because of branding.

Regardless if you a apple or android user the peak has been here for a while... new today" has a lot more diminishing returns than when smart phones were a new thing making upgrades unecessary as often . I've had a goggle pixel old version for a couple years already and the thing has absolutely no issue.

I personally think 2/3 years is a good cycle to upgrade because Android devices lose their value quite quickly. If you care about a decent trade in/resell value of course.

All you need is some old ones to keep rotating. I think Samsung might have broke the cycle this year by trying to make the Galaxy Books a big deal.

I hate payment plans on phones. I bought my iPhone for $1600 and split it into 6 payments since my credit card let me do that for free. I got one left and it's done. Not trying to be paying a carrier for years on it.
