Experia, HTC One, Galaxy 4............there's a new "it" phone like every fukking month.
There is nothing wrong with variety. Also, the competition breeds better phones at lower prices.

Whether or not the phones are "shackled" to contracts is totally irrelevant to the fact that the release of multiple phones is good for competition and pricing.

It all synchs so seamlessly with my Macbook Pro, iPad 2, iPad Mini, and iPhone 4s. I've spent 100's of dollars in apps. I'm productive as all hell on these devices.

You could be right, but the i5 just feels good in the hands. This 4.7-5inch screen shyt is not hot to me. Knowing samsung, they're gonna play the numbers game and make this a 5 inch 1080p phone and make me not want it.
Now if they did a 4.7inch 1080p id consider, but im unhappy with the s3's form factor
There are any number of Android phones dropping in March and the following months which are all better than the iPhone 5. Heck, even last years crop of Android Phones are better than the iPhone 5.
