I don't know why ya'll are attacking Sammy Sosa. This is just incredibly sad and shows how evil White Supremacy is. It got brothas like Sammy wanting to destroy themselves because of the anti-black racism they grew up with their entire lives. Honestly if it wasn't for a couple of events early on in my life that instilled a strong sense of pride in who I was, I could've been like this.

I think we need to use this shyt with Sammy Sosa as a reminder that no matter how much fame or money you attain, if you lack a strong sense of self and respect for who you are as a person, this same shyt could happen to you. This is why I always say educating black youth to have pride in themselves and their people is the most important thing you can do as a black parent. If my mother hadn't placed a strong sense of black pride in me early on as a kid, I know I could have been like this. Why? Because this society has been conditioning us since birth to hate everything black.

We are at war folks. Don't ever get it twisted. This is a battle for hearts and minds. And brothas like Sammy are showing us we are losing that war big time right now.

His change was legit medical, vitiligo is documented on his autopsy report. He went from dark to white gradually because first they were covering the white spots with brown make up, but when the white spots became more prominent it made sense to use the white make-up.
