Sami Zayn will be out of action for the rest of 2018. He told WWE.comthat he just underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama and it turns out that his injury situation is worse than we thought.
Zayn suffered two torn rotator cuffs, one in his left shoulder and another in his right shoulder. The right shoulder injury was something he had been dealing with for a while but then his left shoulder started to act up. He told WWE.com that the left shoulder hasn’t been the same since he got surgery on it a while back and it has gotten progressively worse
Zayn says the surgery this week was on the right shoulder but he’ll need to get surgery on the other one in about six or seven weeks.
Basically, he will be out for the remainder of the year but he is hopeful to be back during the first quarter of 2019. He said, “I think timeline wise, I should be ready in time for WrestleMania, so fingers crossed.”
