Lol podsave was pushing Beto like a muthafukka tho. To be fair we all thought he’d blow up when running for president but yea after not gaining steam he should’ve focused on senate.
Breh I don’t think I can fukk with kulinski. He appears as one of those condescending bad faith types.

I'm not particularly a kulinski fan either, but his simple to follow style has some cross over appeal for newcomers and people that aren't familiar with deeper theory imo. I did find some real value when he went on Joe Rogan though. MMA circles have a lot of conservatives, Kyle broke through a bit and then helped get Cornel West in the seat with Joe later on. So while I don't agree with his views on a lot of topics, I also don't agree with people that think he's an agent or something. He's just misguided on a few things and plays to a broader audience than I prefer (but that broader reach means that I can use him for people that wouldn't sit through a Sam Seder or a Ben Dixon aka my gold standard commentators).

heres the thing though...Jamie is just a bad representation of herself because her takes are just god awful and lazy. I have no problem with her having a voice, but shes just bad at using it.

She definitely wades into topics where she's out of her depth at times but I actually think she's improved with time. I think she's been learning to express the ideas better with time and coming in with better prep more often. I do get annoyed that she sometimes gives a bad look to some lefty ideas by not expressing them properly or pushing more fringe ideas without being able to back them (sometimes there's substance and sometimes I think she's just wrong). But she has come a long way from early on in her tenure when I really would get annoyed with her. Now she still needs Sam to straighten out things at times but she's also got more jokes and when it comes down to the activism stuff, she's really got a lot of on the ground information to share.

Accurate AF. Sam's got the degrees of the left covered. He's a lefty in his own right, fighting for basically every progressive goal there is but pushing back against the more extreme takes that always get magnified well beyond the amount of people that actually support the ideas. Brooks is a Dem Socialist and breaks down theory from further left of Sam but still grounded in a combination of history, precedents and strategy talk. Jamie is full anarcho-level Socialist, which means more figurative arguments and radical takes. So you get an introduction to leftism, strategic thinking, radical ideas at the boundaries and for good measure Matt Lech throws in a some dry humor and historical knowledge too. It's every shade of the left represented on one show, with all of the disagreements and discussions borne from that being hyper informative imho.

They also add different dimensions to the knowledge being dropped. Sam's legislative strategy and policy knowledge is top tier. Brooks global knowledge expands to a broader worldview. Jamie adds in the activist element with real experience dealing with and partaking in activism. Matt is a literary beast (his podcast is underrated AF imo but English was my favorite subject so a lit based podcast from a leftist POV is right in my wheelhouse).

If you want a firm understanding of every dimension of the left, Majority Report >>>>>

Every dimension except the Black left.

I used to rock with them but the blind Bernie stanning and their (and their audience's) dismissal of black folks needs not always aligning with leftist/progressives wants made me fall back.

Brooks will talk about the history of Africa and Pan African movements and non-ADOS blacks all day but I never see him talking to ADOS blacks about Reparations.

Salty Sam. Dude was wrong for blowing up at Jamie like that but I guess he got tired of dumb dumb left anti establishment takes.

They were talking about war crimes AND impeachment, then he blew up at her because she mentioned the current impeachment. :mjlol:

To be fair, she brought it up in the weirdest way ever though. :francis:

I honestly don’t get why she or Brooks is still on that show. Seder is a mainstream Howard Dean Democrat while Brooks is an admitted socialist and Peck is a fukking anarchist who jerks off Terry Richardson on her spare time
Sam is nothing like Howard Dean, and he agrees with the majority of Michael Brooks and Jamie’s positions, although he is not quite as far left as they are. He is just more practical and acknowledges the political difficulties of getting policy passed.
