So specifically for HEX, what happens if within that 3 year period, the coin tanks? Is there anything you can do? Or is that just a risk that someone has to be willing to take?
It's a risk. Some coins like hex you can put a certain time period. I just chose a few years cuz I didn't care enough about the coin. For others you can unstake at any time. It's definitely a risk. But the more people staking a particular coin the better cuz if the price drop you can't sell so it'll ease the dips. There's no panic selling when your coins are locked in staking. You hodl them bytches.

Seeing a lot of the recent subliminals between the Shib and Saitama Devs, it made me want to do some light digging on both. So I was looking on coingecko to compare their projections and I found out some interesting tidbits....

Shib started out on July 31st, 2020 (Basically in August). It's price started at roughly 9 zeros, 9700 level.

Exactly 5 months later on Dec 31st, 2020. The price was at.....10 zeros, 7700 level...it had actually added a zero.

Saitama started on June 15th 2021. The price was at 10 zeros 4400 level.

Today marks exactly 5 months, ironically. Even though it added back that 6th zero, the price right now is at 7 zeros, 8500. (It's lost 3 zeros in this time)

Now, before anybody jumps to any conclusions, I'm not trying to say Saitama is bigger than Shib. :whoa: If this were sports/music, Shib is almost like the player/artist that wasn't supposed to make it in the league and now is an All-Star. It has a chip on their shoulders, albeit warranted. That's what got it here. Now comes, this other player (Saitama) that's getting some of the attention Shib gets, largely on moves that they were using. They're going to feel a certain way.

Again, especially to potential new investors/potential investors I'm not saying that Saitama is bigger than Shib. What I am saying is that if you were to compare their growth in both of their first 5 months, Saitama is either on the same level or better. ( Price point, implemented a burn for every transaction which it Shib doesn't have) I don't have the info on Shib holder number after exactly 5 months though. In a lot of ways, Shib paved the way/made it possible for Saitama to be able to make moves quicker. Kucoin is supposed to list Saitama. Kucoin didn't list Shib until May (9th month)

I remember when Certik had us Shib holders on standby for weeks, waiting for the audit. Shibaswap was something we waited months for, with several delays. I'm not suggesting anyone to not either sell or plan their exit strategy. You have to do what's in your best interest. I'm here for everyone to not lose their shirt and to make money. All I'm saying is that comparatively, Saitama is in a good place, all things considering. :hubie:

Ah, gotcha. They needed to have a stake mechanism for Saitama before Jake went live Saturday :snoop:

Yeah gas fees are insane and not worth it when you’re not putting a lot

I said this weeks ago but was called crazy. I’m really gettin annoyed with that

So is this across the gamut? Do all coins have these crazy gas fees right now?

Cause I'm not gonna lie, I wasn't prepared to be throwing $300 away in gas fees alone just to be like :manny:

Aight brehs, looks I'm not gonna be playing with TZKI for right now. I set aside a limited number of funds for crypto and I don't really want to add more at this time. So looks like I gotta sit with whatever Saitama does.

If the gas prices go down, or another coin rises, y'all let me know please.

huh?

I’m on their twitter page now and still see it…granted it’s from a popular anime so I was surprised they’ve been using it for so long

*edit*
