The game flopped because they didn’t listen to their fans, or listened partially.

The game jumped the shark with 4. The shift from 2 to 3 already segmented the fan base, but 4 was just not necessary. Then with this game (Sanitized Row) was clearly made to appeal to Gen Z but lacks any charm to keep people playing.

The entire series is a failure that so happened to make two good games, with one being a cult classic.

Put it out of it’s misery

This doesn’t even make any sense. If the series was a failure, you wouldn’t have any good games, much less a cult classic.

Not surprising.

Not just because it was obvious from the jump that this wasn't what people wanted, but also because now that Embracer is creeping into the AAA space, it looks like their expectations might be too high, possibly because they're not used for having to support those types of budgets.

They should of kept the same formula wit saints row 2

Instead they went with some politically correct bull shyt

but the devs admitted it themselves they were salty that people called the first two gta clones when there are a number of them out there already

It will be interesting to see how they handle the crystal dynamics and eidos games especially compared to square enix.

They seemed pleased with Tiny Tina but Take Two still publishes gearbox’s games despite Embracer owning them. I wouldn’t be surprised if Embracer like Kadokawa expect their devs to find outside publishing
