R&B Sad to be saying this. Foreign Exchange gradually has become wack as fukk.

My pick would be Denaun Porter, Oddissee wouldn't be bad either tho

I like Mr. Porter, but there's something... "cheap" about his beats. Oddisee has truly lush production, and I can't think of the last time I heard Tigallo on some really lush production. Strings, bass, natural drums.

Imagine Phonte on this, either singing or rapping.

The writing was on the wall with their last album. They seemed to be moving in a more electronic direction, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. But this track is, well, not good.

I actually think the hook is cool, and maybe if he didn't do that knock-off British accent, the song would be passable.

Nah Khrysis on the boards with the heat

:blessed:

I like Khrysis, but he's a little limited.

Eric G >

To me, I wouldn't knock someone saying the opposite though.

Khrysis is like a 9th Wonder student who is trying to recapture/reproduce 90's sounding stuff. Eric G is like a 9th Wonder student who's trying to make futuristic 90's stuff, if that makes sense.

Eric G is really the bridge between 9th and the modern music era.

I know Te is going the early 90's house route but dude shoulda just got Idris Elba to do all that. It made me chuckle. Not feeling it.

When they got that Grammy nod is when their direction in sound really started to change. You can even hear traces of it on the last LB album.

I see what he was trying to do with this song (obvious throwback to late 80's dance and 90's house) but I feel it could have been executed better. Not feeling it.

He tried the same thing with Zo in that 80s themed collaboration album.

That too was shyt.
