One of the top 3 living cinematographers in the world. And Villeneuve directed Incendies, Enemy, and Prisoners. Not the typical scrub they line up for high-profile franchise sequels. Moreover, he just directed a film called Sicario that's about to go hard at Cannes.

Not a fan of the idea of a Blade Runner sequel but Villeneuve is a director who's on his game and with Deakins cinematography it should at least look incredible. I hope Gosling plays an android, would be interesting to see him playing such a role, although there's no way anyone is going to touch Hauer's classic role.

As a standalone Prometheus wasn't bad at all. It's just Alien stans caught feelings what it didn't tell the whole story.

Yea the best thing about the movie is the setting. I thought the whole atmosphere of the city was dope. Outside of that it's average at best.

i know who villeneuve is, i didnt know who that other guy was.... villeneuve has great film but he never made a sci-fi
