He can’t fun Sinners by himself, this is a big budget movie, somewhere around $100 million.

He said the rights thing was more about black ownership of this specific movie and it probably won’t be like that for any other movies with the studio.

Even more hilarious the "fund it yourself" crowd doesn't understand the amount of tax breaks write offs a studio can get for making a movie that you as an individual or your little production company won't get when making a movie, not to mention bringing local jobs to the area as additional staff on movie sets.

I remember this one producer talking about opening his own studio and wanting to film in Houston. He went and tried to secure some tax breaks and funding from the city and they told him get the fukk out of here. He complained that they give big studios tax breaks and he worked on blah blah film and he know warner bros only paid blah blah blah to film in downtown houston for x amount of time and he said dude told him yeah cause all the extra's they put in the movie were from houston, all the medical staff they had on hand was from houston, all the catering they did was from local houston businesses, so in total that movie generated millions of dollars of income for the people of Houston. Then he asked him how much catering was his little 15 person studio going to order and how many extras was his little movie going to have and what was he paying and how much was he going to pay to have police and medical people on standby for emergencies. He said probably none and the dude asked him then what the fukk would we give you a tax break for and was trying to charge him 6 figures a day to let him film on 2 or 3 streets downtown at very specific times. Said he just walked away like "shyt harder than i thought it would be "

Without writers, directors, actors and the rest of the production staff there is no Hollywood.

owners of these media companies don't care about anything other than money. They don't even know what makes a good film or TV show. They don't value or respect art.

They should be afraid if artists want ownership of their creations. They deserve to make money and have control over their artistic visions.

If my anime does 50 million at the box office next spring, I make millions, my fans make millions, and i retain 50% of the rights for all shows made in the next 7 years, plus 100% reversion after for the brand.

He should have enough pull to fund these himself, considering they are low budget productions. He can easily do them with 5 milly and profit share with the lead actors.
