Russ is what he is at this point and his career and they didn’t need to evaluate what they were getting.

If they’re going to roll with Fields, then they wasted time and reps for him.

I say that as someone that hasn’t been high on neither of those guys at this point in their career especially Russ.

so are you saying they shouldnt have gotten him to start with ? what was the point of getting russ if you werent going to see how he does ?

What I'm saying is that they should have picked one or the other and not both. There was no need to bring in Fields once they signed Russ considering that they weren't going to be able to giving playing time to both guys who essentially had something to play for with being FA after the season.

If they were going to pivot to Fields, then they should have just brought him in from the jump and let him be the guy
