Russ is absolutely in the conversation with better coaching and org management. Still, he's seen just as much as if not more success than Roger's or Big Rape.

1-4 in NFC championships. He's basically McNabb :francis:

He has the hardware and accolades. that Russ doesn’t though. That shyt matters even when he flames out when it matters the most and I’m not a Rodgers fan. Russ just isn’t in that tier and likely will never be.

With that being said, the media is being intentional with these type of conversations and we’re taking the bait. They want Russ out of Seattle and in a bigger media market especially since Rodgers likely isn’t leaving GB. That’s where the conversation is stemming from IMO.

These guys are all great QBs in the same tier. Brady and the pats just fukked it up.

Peyton had to get a super bowl where he threw under 200 yards and a von Miller MVP performance just to catch up to Eli. :francis:

Ehhh Peyton’s entire body has always had Eli’s beat. People just tried to use the ring argument and Eli’s SuperBowl appearances to try and make it closer than it really was. I would actually put Big Ben and Russ in the same tier with Rodgers and Manning above them. Brady is in his own tier since his entire body of work outshines everybody else’s.

As I’ve said before, if people want to push Russ higher on the list then going to need to put together a full MVP type season at least once. I don’t think he’s going to get that in Seattle at this point, which is why people are trying to get him to leave.

It's not an insult to say Russ isn't an all time great QB. At this point he isn't.
How can he be an all time great when at no point during his career was he the best QB in the league.
Never won MVP, has never even received a single vote.
No first team all pros.
No offensive player of the year.

Again though, the key is that it isn't an insult to say he isn't an all time great. There aren't many, especially not based on the criteria Clark is using.

Yeah and any all time great that played during Wilson's era accomplished at least one of those things I mentioned. He hasn't because he isn't on that level.

In another thread on here where you were hating on Curry, you basically said that a FMVP is a requirement to be an all time great in the NBA. But you have an issue with me asking for a regular season MVP or all pro selection here?

This thread disrespectful and all over the place...

The NFL is 102 years old. In that 102 years Russ is by consensus one of the 25 greatest quarterbacks ever, out of thousands to play this game. Nobody can name 25 greater QBs and that's at minimum so yes, he's an All-Time great quarterback...

Warner had a higher peak but he's a more efficient player with greater longevity than Warner, so he's higher than Warner historically. Warner really only had a 3-year hot streak with two above average years to close his career. Him getting in The Hall lowered the bar and expectations for what being a "great" QB look like, compared to someone like Russ who has been elite year in, year out for 6-7 years consecutively...

Wilson and Ben are roughly equal historically, and thats with Ben having an 8-year head start. Russ peaked higher than Ben, he's gonna be over Ben when all is said and done but right now they about the same. Which, for all you dudes shytting on Ben, makes both he and Russ borderline Top 15 GOATs, they toeing that line and you can make the case for both...

10 years in Russ being no lower than the 25th greatest QB ever, and at best bumping right up near 15th-greatest QB ever, yes nikka. He's an All-Time great quarterback...

Some of you dudes are all over the place too. Some of yall using MVPs as a barometer, Brees never won one and is widely considered Top 6 with an argument as a Rushmore GOAT...

Some of yall acting like Russ need multiple rings but Marino still in most people Top 6 with ZERO...

Some of yall using All-Pros but have Aikman regular ass in your Top 15, but Russ having "only" one All-Pro isn't enough...

Bottom line, historical evaluation of QBs is based on more than one thing, it's a cumulative analysis. He doesn't have the strongest arm and he can go off-script too often but he makes winning plays way more often than not, is calm under pressure, and is an efficient passer...

The only 2010s QBs you're gonna put over Russ are guys guys widely viewed as Top 8 GOATs period--->Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers are better than all or most if the QBs to ever play PERIOD. Yall undervalue how fortunate we are to have seen football in this era, 2005+ is the most stacked generation(s) of elite quarterback play ever, saying he's "maybe only" the 5th best QB of his era isn't a demerit considering his career overlapped with historical heavyweights...

Fall of a cliff means not MVP
You over exaggerating. He also in an archaic scheme running Pete ball and still thriving w a trash roster
Most people don't understand how terrible Pete has been since at least 2017. That guy has been holding Russ back something fierce.

How everyone (rightfully) got on McCarthy for wasting Rodgers, Pete has been doing the same thing under the radar with Russ. I can't believe the Seahawks haven't fired him yet. It's madness.
