Rodgers has dragged some REALLY chitty teams to deep playoff runs.

This is what I mean by dumbass opinions by people. Football is the biggest "team" sport we have out there. There are 10 other teammates you gotta play with, and even then you can't play defense. There is so much that goes into football and winning.. and he'll we aren't even discussing special teams which can lose you a game also!! ... See the Packers vs Niners game where the special teams had probably the worst playoff game anyone's seen in a decade being solely responsible for 13 points.

There's only so much a single player can do in the NFL.

Winning in the playoffs involve a lot of variables luck etc

Aaron Rodgers at his peak was as good a QB as I’ve ever seen

Russ was really good. He was never close to Rodgers

What does this have to Do it’s the fact that The AFC was doo doo in the mid to late 80’s?

The 1 seed in 1989 won 11 games :mjlol: :russ:

A HOF coach and a HOF QB should never miss the playoffs 4 years in a row in ANY conference much less that one. There’s a reason why the NFC title game was viewed as the REAL Super Bowl
There was nothing Hall of Fame about Don Shula coaching in the 80s other than over relying on Dan Marino and putting together a bad team. Get over his résumé. The game passed him by since the early 80s. Even he admitted he made
Mistakes in how coached Dan. So you sucking off his résumé is foolish

Killing Marino for not winning is stupid and shows how young someone is because back then pre cap the best teams we’re loaded and didn’t always have or need great QB’s to win

With a hardcap now all teams have near equal talent so having a great QB is a cheat code unlike back in the day

Marino would be unfair in today game

I'm pretty sure Marino is the only GOAT-tier QB who never had a HOF teammate on either side of the ball, would have to do some research to confirm it though

Those teams were below average for the majority of those runs post 2012.. mostly because MM didn't evolve, Capers was a dogchit coordinator who kept a job 3-4 years past his expiration date because Mark Murphy was content with making the Packers $$ while not spending, and because Ted Thompson the GM LITERALLY had dementia..... Like literally he was mentally deficient and was drafting players.

Idk the Bears and Vikings have made deeper playoff runs than the VAST majority of other divisions.
I’m a Bears fan. We have been to the playoffs like 4 times since Rodgers been drafted. One NFC Champiionship (that we lost to GB). Vikings been to the playoffs a few more times. I think they’ve been to two NFC Championships and lost them both. Lions have never been on shyt. GB has had a free ride in that division. You say it’s a team game, but wanna credit Rodgers with all their success.

I'm a Russell Wilson fan and I don't think he's an all-time great quarterback. He's a very good quarterback, which few can say.

Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are the only active QBs who can say that they are all-time greats at the position. Mahomes, Watson, Lamar, Herbert, Allen, any of them could get there, but if their careers ended today they sure as hell wouldn't be.

So thank you for acknowledging that the Vikings and Bears have had deep playoff success like I stated lol. I don't credit Rodgers with all their success, but I damn sure don't blame him after being able to see with my own eyes the lack of players that we've had on the defensive side of the ball and the lack of coaching pre-MLF.

Plus they've just had some really chitty luck. 2015 NFC Championship game. Championship game vs the Bucs (Multiple holding calls on Lazard were not called that directly influenced the game). Last year against the Niners the Packers ST literally gave up 13 points

He's not blameless, but if there's a pie chart given out to "blame" there's about 10-15 other people ahead of Rodgers in line that are taking a bigger piece

Two teams combining to participate in three conference championships in 15 years is success?

Like I said, it's debatable. :pachaha: And I think he's not better than half the guys you highlighted and not too much better than the others.

The italicized guys have shown higher ceilings than him but don't have the careers/longevity yet. The straight up bolded Russ is straight up better than.

I am a Seahawks fan and I agree with RC. I always believed Russ was more lucky than good, especially once he stopped running. Making these beautiful rainbow passes but constantly missing on short yards situations. He's never seen the field well enough to be considered an all time great.

As soon as the Seahawks moved on from their center to bring in Jimmy Graham to make the offense more Russ centric they were never the same again.

Cam having a career ending injury and Sherm getting hurt and Earl leaving is why yall weren't the same again.
