Ryan Clark says he's tackling Derrick Henry 1 on 1.

Easy to say when you ain't gotta suit up anymore

:coffee:
You ever see RC play?

Anyone who plays ball knows you can cut down backs like Derrick one on one…almost easily to a point.

But not if he gets going a few a yards down the field up top, and damn sure not from an angle (mean stiff arm) but you cut jiggas like him at the knees. Cmon bruh

I believe RC, He said in the box.

Henry hasn't built his momentum yet and there's no option for Henry except to run him over. RC might get run over but he'd hold on to him to get the tackle.

If it was an open field, RC would end up in Derrick Henry's HOF film package.

Maybe Ryan Clark is right.
I think Derrick Henry might have like 20 pounds on Willis McGahee though

McGahee playing weight was listed at 235 and he is 6'0".

Henry listed at 247 and he's 6'3".

That's only +12lbs and Henry taller so getting the shoulder down is actually harder.

RC listed at 205 and is 5'11".

Given the scenario described, RC is 8th man in the box and Henry cuts back into the hole, he should absolutely get tackled. Ain't gotta be a mega hit, he just talking about a solid fundamental tackle.

Ain't nobody disputing how big and powerful Henry is; whether you played football or not is irrelevant, if you've watched enough film, that's a scenario that is textbook for a FS to make a tackle for no gain at the LOS.

Derrick Henry is more strong finesse than an outright battering ram brute as a runner.

I dont find Henry to be a brutish and super aggressive “let me square my shoulders and put my head down” runner. Ryan definitely could tackle him.

Facts. Henry is more a build up speed and run over DBs than a backfield tackle breaker. His size belies the type of runner he actually is. I remember Greg Cosell talking about how Kareem Hunt is more of a power runner than Henry, even though a lot of fans think otherwise.

Clark could do it

Well I think we have our answer. Now sure you could say there's a difference in a rb running after the catch vs a handoff run. But great technique should always win even when tackling Derrick Henry.

This ain’t the same thing as 1v1 in the hole ( :dame: ) but a good tackle is a good tackle

Cooper DeJean is a baller
