In all honesty, he should have just stayed in New Japan. He might not have ever been more than an upper-mid card/perennial tag belt guy, but it'd be a hell of a lot better than this near-embarrassing garbage.

Then again, I (and the Japanese fans, if crowd interactions are any indication) am kind of enjoying this Karl Anderson push in NJPW.

I understand you need some type of gimmick to get over in wrestling, but when is the last time they just let a new talents real in ring ability make them a star? This "activate beast mode" shyt is like the rock n' wrestling era all over again.

I think Punk and Daniel Bryan are the last two that got over due to in-ring ability... probably because the audience shyt all over the "New Nexus" and "I'm a Vegan... not a virgin" gimmicks they just wanted to see them wrestle and we got it YES YES YES!

Honestly the only parts of the match I remember are:
*Bret Hart was randomly in it knowing that he can't take a bump
*Daniel Bryan got two tapouts but Michael Cole was on his *fukk DANIEL BRYAN!" skeez
*Didn't some members of Team WWE walk out? Specifically the heel members?
*Cena pinning Wade Barrett in the end killing all of the Nexus momentum and heat
